Simple Vegan Sloppy Joes
Didn’t think it was possible to have this incredibly delicious and easy meal completely cruelty free? Think again~
These vegan Sloppy Joes are even better than the original way, and will satisfy even your most skeptical guest.
Vegan Sloppy Joes are definitely back as a weekly thing in my home.
I actually forgot about them for a good while over the holidays, and randomly remembered again!
So, this week’s grocery haul included everything I needed in order to make them again.
And they are back to stay.
They are already known as a super easy, quick, and delicious meal, and that doesn’t change with making them vegan.
In fact, there really isn’t anything different besides the “meat”.
The original, plain Manwich Sloppy Joe sauce is already vegan as is!
(If making your own sauce just make sure it is as well)
Grab your favorite vegan ground meat and buns and you’re literally set.
Easy as can be right?
Current fave vegan grounds are Beyond Meat’s and my grocery store brand buns are already vegan; both were used in this recipe~

Then, all you have to worry about is what else to put on them (if you do that; which I don’t. Just plain here.) or what to have with them, if you choose to have a side also.
I would have to say that my favorite side currently with these are simply baked sweet potatoes/yams.
Baking them in the oven (not microwaving) already takes them to the next level, and topping them with a good vegan butter just makes them incredible.
(Absolute best vegan butter is Country Crock’s plant butter btw)
Another good second choice would be green beans.
Basically, you have many ways to keep this an effortless and incredibly tasty meal, including kind choices.
Vegan Sloppy Joes
- 16 oz 1 pack Vegan Grounds (I use Beyond Meat)
- 1 Can Sloppy Joe Sauce (Manwich or make your own)
- 1 Pack Vegan Buns
- 1/1-1 Tbsp Oil (If wanted)
- Put the oil if wanted into a pan and cook vegan meat grounds according to directions.
- In the meantime, prepare any sides if desired.
- When meat is done cooking, add the sloppy joe sauce and heat up together briefly.
- Put sloppy joe mixture onto the buns and serve!
I really hope you enjoy these as much as I do (which is a lot lot) and pass it to others who would love it as well!
