Easiest Vegan Belgian Waffles

Happy New Year, and welcome to the first recipe post of the year!
We all know that a big, fluffy, warm waffle is a breakfast favorite for many.
A lot of the time, they aren’t made or topped with cruelty free items.
This way of making vegan Belgian waffles absolutely is though, so there will be no worry or guilt.

In fact, this is a way to make basically any (vegan) Belgian waffle base stay vegan!

Now, I used to have trouble in the kitchen with anything that required egg and finding a good egg substitute that was one, easy, and two kept the food delicious and “same” tasting.

Basically the closest thing I could find to a real egg to keep the recipes simple and not having any major change.

For this, of course I used Just Egg.
If you have seen my other posts you will probably know that this is a favorite ingredient of mine. For good reason!

I use it for all my baking needs.

For the rest, I do typically use a pre made, purchased mix.
I have used a few different kinds but my current favorite is the Krusteaz version!
(See the part, add egg and oil? This is where Just Egg comes right in baby)

This mix is exactly the one I used to make these here in this post.

The kind that you use shouldn’t really matter, just that it is vegan.

While you’re at it, check out these amazing waffle makers! (Mine is Dash brand; the white mini version)

Basically, all you need to do is find a mix (or make your own) which is already vegan.

A simple check of ingredients on your package will let you know this.

Then, just follow the instructions and substitute Just egg (1/4 cup per egg called for) into the mixture.

That’s as easy as it gets really!

Now the question is, what do I top my vegan Belgian waffles with?

There really are endless options here. I’ll name some favorites though!

– Fruits (strawberries, bananas, peaches, etc)
– Syrup (Maple or fruit syrups)
– Chocolate syrup (check ingredients!)
– Powdered sugar
– Vegan whipped cream (I recommend Redi Wip vegan versions or So Delicious)

The options go on and on.

And with this post, we continue into the new year.

Thank you for choosing kind and compassionate options. ♡

Lets make 2021 a much better one!

Best wishes,

♡ Ash
